Back from Florida tour! (Brian) Part 2

We headed back to Daniel and Sheila's and partied some more, then crashed.

now the whole time we're in Florida, the van is fucked up. the alignment got fucked up when we got the battery replaced and the tires we're bald. the alignment was so jacked up the front of the van would shake. so we went and got that fixed and headed back to Tampa before the Showcase Pre-Party.

We rolled into the Pre-Party and we we're the buzz that night. Everyone was talking about us. People were coming up and talking to us and wanting to take pictures. we we're what all the fuss was about.

We headed back to Tampa, and got some good sleep before we played the showcase. we got to the showcase and saw some awesome bands play. Marashino rocked the stage like they always do. Everyone told us after that it was the best they've ever seen 3 Kisses play ever. that's right kids, ever ever. Unfortunately, i had some hairspray in and it was blazing hot on stage and i started sweating into my eyes, and i couldnt open my eyes for most of the last song. but i just fought through the burn and rocked even harder.

that night we got drunk, and i put on our friend Mike's cop regalia, M4 and pig mask. Next fucking album cover. shit yes.

The next day we hit the road and i immediately started drinking coffee. i drove for 13 hours back from Florida. i didnt sleep the whole freaking trip. i was tweaking on coffee and redbull. i felt so cracked out when we got back that i still couldnt sleep. i took a lame 2 hour nap that day but that was it till like 11 pm, then i went to work the next morning.

well, thats about it for now, children. i shall return soon with news from Delaware!!!

--Brian

Back from Florida tour! (Brian) Part 1

Hey everybody! we're back form tour! Damn, was it fun. the drive there was a little rough but we got a hotel and crashed. i didnt sleep a damn bit but whatevas.

after we drove nto Columbus, Georgia throug a bit of nasty weather, we played our first show of the tour. Holy fuckshit we rocked it with our great friends, Marashino. We had a great kickoff for our first National Tour as a band.

We hopped in the van after we grabbed a bite at Waffle House with Marashino, then drove all night into Tampa. i did a lot of driving. Man redbull kicks my ass. We get into Tampa and got to where we stayed for a large portion of the tour with some friends, and i crashed for the rest of the day haha. we got ready that night and played another gig with Marashino at the Crowbar in Tampa. we brought it even harder that night. Everyone was singing along to our songs. i, unfortunately, was not feeling very well that night, so i took it kinda easy afterwards. Then we had a radio show interview at 4 IN THE FUCKING MORNING! that was rough, but it was fun as hell, because those jokers Marashino did it before us and were all drunk by the time we got there and we're fucking with us outside the room we were in. Tommy kept pretending he was on an elevator on the other side of the glass. that asshole. after we finished the interview, we went back to the house and we all crashed.

the next day we slept in and took it easy. we didnt have a gig, so we just hung out.

the following day we went to the beach and met this badass guitar player/singer fella who was retarded sick on the guitar. he was nuts. later that night we went on over to Lakeland and played at Doc's Place, and we brought the fucking Thunder. we were just building momentum. every show was better and better. we got pretty drunk at the bar afterwards and i punched Sean in the Nuts for being really ridiculously drunk. ass. we headed back to the house and chilled the rest of the night.

The next day we headed to Orlando and played downtown. It was a small stage but that didnt stop us from bringing the fucking thunder! Marashino did an awesome job bringing the motherfucking lightening!!

We crashed at some great friends of ours in orlando and drank Canadian Mist all night. Those guys were awesome! Thanks Daniel and Sheila! That night we went to play in Melbourne, which is like on the opposite coast from Tampa, but we ended up not playing because there was no crowd and Tish was really sick. It sucked that that happened, but you can't win them all, right?

Florida Tour (Tish) Part 3

By the time the Rock Solid Pressure Pre-party rolled around on Friday, I was feeling good! We arrived at Bourbon Street in New Port Richey and there were already several bands and a few labels there. We met this great band called Pulse 8 right away. Scott, the bass player, and Tony have matching Mohawks. Funny how a hairstyle can bond a couple of musicians. We were instant friends. Pulse 8 is on this sweet label called Rat Pak Records. They were headlining both the pre-party and the showcase…special guests, so to speak. They introduced us to Joe O'Brien at Rat Pak and somehow Joe and I ended up drinking quite a bit of beer Friday night. We didn't even talk music or business all that much…just hung out, watched the bands and cracked a bunch of ridiculous jokes about all kinds of things. I ended up going home with a 'pink card' from Joe which I didn't know at the time, but found out the next day that it was an invitation to be on his upcoming compilation CD. WHOO HOO! Joe was on the second panel of the two part showcase on Saturday, but he was not only cool enough to come check us out, but he was right down front. The support at the showcase was overwhelming. Lots of bands stayed for our show and we had fans that drove in from all over the area. Best part was that here we were playing in a city we'd never been to before and there were tons of people right up front, singing our songs. Floridians sure know how to make you feel at home. Another really cool thing that happened was that we played for Thomas McClary of the Commodores. He was one of the judges on our panel. He loved us! So much so he followed us backstage and out the door where we were loading. It was amazingly cool to get such positive feedback from a guy who has so many hits and has had such a successful career. Damn, if he likes us, we must be doing something right! J

This was the first tour we've ever done where we returned home more excited than when we left. So many cool things happened and already, they're leading to other cool things.

We're heading back into the studio on October 11 (Cherry Pit Studios – Wisconsin) so we'll have some new music for ya very soon. Stay tuned for more 3 Kisses shenanigans…we'll blog about the Dewey Beach Music conference in the next day or two. It was awesome, too!

XXX,

Tish

Florida Tour (Tish) Part 2

Finally! I get to go home and sleep, right? Aw, hell no! It's off to a 4am radio interview with this cool chick Arielle at

I was barely conscious, which was a drag cuz Arielle was awesome and I was not my usual witty self. The boys picked up the slack for me on this one, and apparently (so I am told) I got a few good ones in there. I have no idea. The only things I remember were they asked us to pick CDs out of our influences and when faced with vaults of CDs in my condition, not only could I not remember any of our influences, but I also couldn't remember why we were there. Brian saved the day by pulling some Dream Theater and Primus. The really sad thing is that Marashino is drinking Maddog in the other part of the station (their interview was right before ours) and we're completely trashed. I was too exhausted to join in the fun. We finally got back to Mike and Traci's about 7am and I promptly went to bed.

Yay! We had a day off. Monday was a chill day, so Traci and I hung out in the pool and drank tons of Miller Lite after I caught up on my sleep. We we're going to go to the beach, but Tony was under the weather, so we decided to just rest at the house. I think Traci and I drank beer until 7am the following morning. It was nice and relaxing to just hang with our friends.

Tuesday Glenn landed us a gig at a cool neighborhood bar called Doc's Place. Craig doesn't like to book bands early in the week because people ordinarily don't come out. Sean and I changed that….we e-mailed every friend Craig had on his MySpace and tons of them came out! That ended up being a super cool gig and Craig picked up our tab and paid us. It's always nice to get paid! By the end of the night, I could tell that Tony had passed his bug on to me. My throat started feeling scratchy on the way home. I slept all night and all the next day. We had to head to Orlando for our gig at Central Station Rock Bar. One of the guys drove and I slept. I pounded Thayer's Slippery Elm, Throat Coat tea and just chilled in the van until time to play. I ended up feeling pretty good for this one and we had some friends show up from the press, radio and other bands, so it ended up being a fun show. Also, the Jagerettes came out for this one and gave away a ton of Jager swag. They were great!

We were going to get a hotel room in Orlando (too far to drive back to Mike and Traci's) and then our friend Q asked if we wanted to stay with him. He's in law school, so I hated to impose. Then, our new friend Daniel, from Immoral Fixation, asked if we wanted to crash at his place. They had nothing pressing the next day so we took them up on that. Daniel and his girlfriend, Sheila, we're also excellent hosts. They fed us whiskey, beer and we jammed until the sun came up. It was fun, but I really paid for that. Ended up having to sleep all day Thursday trying to fight off my fever. But, hell…ya only live once, right? I don't regret staying up hanging with friends EVER – even if I'm sick. Sheila made me chicken noodle soup and that was awesome. I just laid in bed all day.

Florida Tour (Tish) Part 1

Well, better late than never right! It's not that we don't want to blog…we certainly want all of you to know what's going on, but man, life is a whirlwind right now. I'm finally getting around to it because we're on an airplane and I have a couple of hours to kill. Although, I was already interrupted in the middle of the second sentence to sign an autograph. That doesn't suck! J It seems that the elusive 'next level' bands are always trying to reach is where we've finally arrived after being at pretty much the same level for the past few years. So, I guess we're now on the quest for the 'next level.' (Wherever that is!) In the meantime, we're going to enjoy what's going on right now. It's an exciting time for us after pouring our blood, sweat, tears and life savings into 3 Kisses and to finally see it pay off! Tony and I have both 'quit' the band a few dozen times….fortunately, never at the same time. LOL There's always one of us 'up' when the other is 'down' and somehow we've managed to keep it all together. I'm going to try to keep this from being incredibly long and boring. Brian already pretty much 'fucking' summed it up. (See Brian's tour blog)

You damn Floridians; you guys are the fucking best. What a great scene you guys have going out there. I can't wait to get back out there! After the ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Columbus, GA, show at SoHo, we walked over to the Waffle House with Marashino and enjoyed a very drunken breakfast. Nick (Marashino's bassist) and I had a long conversation about relationships. I definitely won't bore you with those details! J Marashino had a fan there who's a helicopter pilot. He walked around and took everyone's check and bought all of our breakfast. Thanks guy! Damn, that was fun…now we gotta drive 7 hours to Tampa. I didn't have to drive, but I did get stuck as co-pilot. Rule is, co-pilot helps keep the pilot awake. So, I didn't get any sleep. SUCK! We rolled into Tampa about 11:30am on Sunday and headed to our friend Mike's house. Mike is a badass. He's a federal agent. With big guns and night vision goggles. We had fun playing with those. LOL Well, not the guns so much…but the night vision goggles were badass. He's our new head of security. Be nice to us. J Anyway, I think it's really cool what he does especially because he's not a cocky bastard and doesn't act like the badass he is. Did I mention Mike's a badass? We hadn't met his wife, Traci, before, but she's equally as cool as Mike. We showed up to their place and they had two coolers of our favorite beer on ice. They also had tons of food waiting for us and really just completely spoiled us the whole time we were there. I should have gone to bed at this point having been awake for the most part of the past 24 hours and with a show coming up that night, but it just didn't seem right to abandon these super-cool hosts to sleep. All the guys went to bed and I stayed up and drank beer with Mike and Traci all afternoon. Probably not the best idea, but hey…it's rock-n-roll, baby! I drug my exhausted ass to the gig at Crowbar in Tampa, unloaded, and then went out to Gary (our tour van) to grab a nap. I don't know how, but I got in the most unbelievable power nap ever and hit that stage with energy I couldn't even begin to imagine I could muster up. We had a great show (we know because all our friends told us…puhleeze…we're not THAT egotistical! Lol) , had lots of cool fans come out and managed to even get along with the sound guy who hates everyone. Mission accomplished!

Hey 3 Kisses people!

Touring was great! My job was to make sure the tour van (aka Gary) was ready for the trip to FL. So I went to the Ford house and had them do the works. Before we got out of town the battery died. So we are standing on the side of the road in small town Texas in full punk rock dress hoping that someone would stop and jump the big beast (Gary). this cowboy in a truck sees us and does a U Turn and gives the juice. I love Texas. We make in back to the Ford House and they put a new 9 volt in Gary. We hit the road. The Ford House also does a front end alignment. The only problem is that they do not tighten the bolts that hold the front end to our beloved tour van. By the time we get to FL Gary is not happy. He is shacking and his front tires that were new when we left are not bald. New tires, new front end job and Gary is ready to go. Life is good and we are rockin FL.

Happy days.

Rooster (aka Tony)

tour-ismz

Uh, wow! I'm just now finally awake after getting back from our tour through Florida and Georgia. Probably the biggest non-musical happening was that I managed to not pay for a DROP of alcohol the whole time. I got that s*** down! Just roll up on somebody with a fresh pitcher and talk to them about the bands and beer and alcohol in general and partying etc. and before you know it an opportunity will present itself for you to ask for a cupful of beer. It's so simple people and it's FREE! Another amazing statistic is that there were only 2 instances where I couldn't stand the smell of my own body (not counting feet). It's alot easier to stay clean with a pool and a shower when you're not hammered. I scored in some ways and didn't score in others but overall the experience was completely tits! Georgia and Florida parties are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to those who may like that kind of fun. My untouched suitcase is full of dirty clothes and staring at me waiting to be washed. My bet with myself is +/- 2 more weeks before they're all washed. Oh yeah and I played some music and stuff too I think...beer run!

"Wife Swap" REVISITED!!!

A few months back we got a call from RDF Media. The casting producer asked us if we'd be willing to participate in a contest with 23 other families for a shot at doing "Wife Swap" again. Pretty cool that we made it into the top 24 families to have ever done the show, if ya ask me. Of course, we said 'YES' because 1) It was a blast the first time 2) It's a great opportunity to get our music out to more people and 3) The kids want to do it again!

Voting starts on October 3 and will go for 3 weeks. You will be able to get all the details at www.abc.com and I will update the blog here with more info when I get it.

Oh yeah, and "Wife Swap" just went into syndication on the Lifetime network, so if you liked our first show, there's your chance to catch it again.

XXX,

Tish
